Commercial Real Estate as a Tool for Action

We use real estate as a tool for action in Vancouver. We facilitate capacity building through our diverse portfolio, and actively participate in initiatives that foster local employment, social purpose real estate, and food security, the provision of affordable goods and services, and sustainable neighbourhoods.

In 2023 we continued to expand our Impact Support Services to strengthen local businesses' engagement on all of these fronts. We help our subtenants to identify the specific social benefits they can offer the community through their leases with CIRES, and then work alongside them in planning and implementing these benefits. Throughout the past year, we have continued to establish these services throughout our portfolio.
